h3. Debian Kernels

[2006/01/14]

Not much happened today, mostly trying to move my main server over to this new box. The move was pretty painless but trying to build a custom Debian Kernel that had HIGHMEM support was a pain. The new kernel booted but it would not mount my / drive. After hacking it a bit I found out my ide chipset driver and my filesystem driver was compiled as modules. I guess that is what I get for copying the default .config that Debian used for my old kernel.
